Why Atlanta?

U.S. Business Action to End HIV is establishing local chapters in regions that are disproportionately impacted by HIV. Georgia has one of the highest rates of new HIV cases in the nation, and Atlanta is an epicenter.

According to the CDC, the risk of HIV diagnosis in Atlanta is one in 51 people. Some zip codes in the Atlanta area have rates of HIV/AIDS that are six to eight times higher than the national average.

Many factors contribute to Atlanta's high HIV rates; poverty, stigma, fewer health care resources in certain areas, and lack of health insurance, housing, or transportation can prevent people from getting tested or seeking treatment.

Join The Atlanta Chapter

Businesses with a footprint in Metro Atlanta are encouraged to join Atlanta Business Action to End HIV and leverage their resources, influence, and expertise to help end the HIV epidemic.

JOIN THE COALITION

Community organizations interested in working with local businesses to strengthen the HIV response in Atlanta are invited to become Community Partners. Our Community Partner Directory helps chapter members connect, collaborate, and maximize our collective impact.
