Why Los Angeles?
U.S. Business Action to End HIV is establishing local chapters in regions that are disproportionately impacted by HIV. Los Angeles was selected as a local chapter market because of its strong, influential corporate community and high rates of HIV incidence. Los Angeles has the second-largest HIV epidemic in the U.S., with approximately 1,400 new HIV transmissions occurring each year, a number that has remained steady over time. Despite ongoing progress, social determinants such as housing instability, lack of health insurance, substance use, stigma, mental health issues, and limited awareness of services continue to exacerbate the epidemic.Addressing these barriers is essential for ensuring equitable access to HIV prevention, care, and support for all individuals who need them.
Join The Los Angeles Chapter
Businesses with a footprint in L.A. County are encouraged to join Los Angeles Business Action to End HIV and leverage their resources, influence, and expertise to help end the HIV epidemic.
JOIN THE COALITIONCommunity organizations interested in working with local businesses to strengthen the HIV response in Los Angeles are invited to become Community Partners. Our Community Partner Directory helps chapter members connect, collaborate, and maximize our collective impact.
