Following last Friday’s hearing on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) emergency COVID-19 rules for employers, the U.S. Supreme Court has not yet decided the case, nor has it issued a “stay” that would put the rules on hold. So, as of today, January 10, employers with 100 or more workers will need to take the following actions:
Although these requirements take effect today, OSHA officials have said the agency will not issue citations for violations until February 9 — and, of course, the Court could weigh in before then. Regardless of how the case plays out, vaccination requirements create the safest possible workplace for employees and customers, and thousands of companies have voluntarily implemented these policies.
