Last week, leaders from business, public health, and community organizations gathered in Atlanta to reaffirm their commitment to ending the HIV epidemic.

U.S. Business Action to End HIV, the nation’s largest coalition of employers committed to ending HIV, has engaged over 100 businesses, from healthcare giants to global corporations. To recognize companies and individuals making exceptional contributions, the Coalition introduced the HIV Action  Awards 一 celebrating leadership, innovation, and corporate responsibility in the fight against HIV.

The 2025 award recipients include the following organizations.

HIV Action Award

The HIV Action Award is given to U.S. Business Action to End HIV member companies that have completed all six corporate actions offered as part of membership.

  1. Award Recipient: Avita Care Solutions

Through its leadership, Avita has played a pivotal role in shaping programming and advocating for the essential role businesses must play in ending the HIV epidemic. Their commitment extends beyond corporate responsibility — Avita stands as a beacon of hope for their communities, providing innovative solutions and fostering inclusive healthcare access.

  1. Award Recipient: Chevron

Chevron has long been at the forefront of corporate engagement in the fight against HIV, setting a powerful precedent for businesses committed to making a difference. As one of the earliest companies to take action in the 1980s and 90s, Chevron helped pioneer workplace HIV policies, demonstrating how the private sector can drive meaningful change by investing in the health of its workforce and the communities it serves.

  1. Award Recipient: CVS Health

CVS Health has been a highly engaged partner since the Coalition’s inception. Its commitment to ending the HIV epidemic is evident through its ongoing engagement, innovative partnerships, and willingness to come to the table and work together to solve problems.

  1. Award Recipient: Match Group

Match Group has taken significant steps to advance its engagement in HIV. It hosts employee education sessions, assesses HIV-related benefits, and utilizes its dating platforms — including BLK and Chispa — to connect users with testing services and important HIV information. Their leadership in corporate engagement continues to set a strong example.

  1. Award Recipient: Gilead Sciences

As a company deeply rooted in HIV treatment and prevention, Gilead Sciences continues to expand its impact by seeking innovative ways to support both its workforce and the broader communities it serves. Beyond its core mission, Gilead remains committed to evolving its efforts, exploring new engagement models, and deepening its impact in the fight against HIV.

  1. Award Recipient: Mercer

Mercer has played a key role in integrating HIV awareness into broader health equity discussions, creating educational resources for its clients, and spearheading efforts to mobilize business leaders supporting federal HIV funding. Their leadership in normalizing HIV conversations in corporate settings is a significant achievement.

  1. Award Recipient: MISTR

MISTR’s mission is to expand access to PrEP by creating more accessible and convenient options for those who need it. Through thought leadership, sponsorships, and partnerships, they have played a key role in advancing HIV prevention services. Their community-driven approach and engagement with local chapters have made a lasting impact, particularly through their efforts in Los Angeles.

  1. Award Recipient: Paramount Pictures

Paramount Pictures continues championing workplace HIV engagement, sharing best practices, and creating meaningful partnerships. Their ongoing commitment to HIV awareness within the media and entertainment industry sets the stage for greater visibility and impact in the years ahead.

  1. Award Recipient: ViiV Healthcare

A long-standing leader in HIV corporate engagement, ViiV Healthcare has been at the forefront of the Coalition’s efforts, actively recruiting new members, launching innovative programs, and hosting landmark events like this year’s intersectional ERG event on HIV.

  1. Award Recipient: Walgreens

Walgreens has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to HIV awareness and prevention. Their 14-year collaboration with KFF’s Greater Than HIV initiative, alongside public health and community partners, has significantly expanded access to free HIV and STI testing. They have also advanced efforts internally to deepen HIV education among their workforce and ensure their employees have access to comprehensive HIV services.

2024 Leadership Award

Each year, the Leadership Award is given to one individual in recognition of their contributions to our nation’s efforts to help end the HIV epidemic.

  • Award Recipient: Glen Pientrandoni, Chief Advocacy Officer at Avita Care Solutions

Throughout his career as a pharmacist, business strategist, and advocate, Glen Pietrandoni has played an instrumental role in advancing HIV care and prevention. His dedication to innovative strategies, compassionate leadership, and commitment to ending the HIV epidemic have shaped the coalition’s efforts and inspired countless colleagues.

Together, we can end HIV

We are so proud to work alongside these companies and individuals to help end the HIV epidemic in the U.S. Through workplace education, investing in community initiatives, and championing inclusive healthcare policies, these awardees demonstrate that business leadership is essential to driving lasting change.

As U.S. Business Action to End HIV grows, we remain committed to reducing stigma, expanding access to care, and ensuring that the most effective prevention and treatment strategies reach those who need them most.
