In a new op-ed in Forbes, Sen. Bill Frist, co-chair of the National Commission on Climate and Workforce Health, casts a spotlight on the health threats posed by our changing climate and calls on employers to protect the health of their workers.
Sen. Frist cited the commission's April report, pointing to research that shows half of the U.S. workforce faces climate-related health risks on the job, but less than one in five CEOs have implemented strategies to protect employees from these hazards.
"This is unacceptable," Sen. Frist writes in the op-ed, going on to add, "But this isn't a lost cause."
